Sima Samar is a
politician in
Afghanistan, who
served as Minister
of Women's Affairs
of Afghanistan from
December 2001 to
2003.
Sima Samar was
nominated for
Nobel Peace Prize
in 2012.
Dr. Sima Samar has received numerous
international awards for her works on human
rights and democracy, including Ramon
Magsaysay Award for Community Leadership,
Global Leader for Tomorrow, International
Human Rights Award, Peace Prize of the City
of Ieper (Ypres) Belgium.
