Managing Sites
 Managing Sites in SCCM 2012 is Easy . If you want to Manage Forests other than those
that are presently being Monitored , Just Enabled the Forest Enable / Discover in SCCM
Console.
 If a New Forest needs to be Discovered in the SCCM Console then you can add new
forests using SCCM Console in SCCM 2012 .
 If New SCCM Site Servers Needs to be added in the Hierarchy then the same can also be
achieved .
 If you have a Stand Alone Primary site and you want to add a Central Site and a Primary
Site in this Hierarchy , the same can be achieved by Adding Central Site First .
 Since has just One Stand Alone Primary Site there is no need to Monitor Site to Site
Replication.
 Site Hierarchy View : Using SCCM 2012 , you can view the Hierarchy view Using Bing
Maps and Identify the Location of your SCCM Structure .
Manage collections
 Direct Rule : Members can be added Directly
 Query : Members can be added using Query
 Include : Members can be other collection
 Exclude : Members can be excluded.

 To Create a new Collections using Direct Rule , we need to Specify Conditions in the
Rule.
 Example : Suppose a Particular Software needs to be deployed on particular location
users then a Direct rule can be created and software can be deployed on the set of users .
Monitor site health
 SCCM Site Health can be Monitors Using SCCM Console by Navigating to : Monitoring >
Site Status and Monitoring > Component Status
Manage site communications
 Not Applicable To : As they have just One Site :
Manage boundary groups
 To Create New Boundaries : Go to Administration > Hierarchy Configuration >
Boundaries
 To Club Different Boundaries into one Group Create a Boundary Group.

Manage role-based security
 RBAC is a new Feature in SCCM 2012 .
 RBAC is Used to Divide the set of Duties in SCCM .
 RBAC is Used to create new Roles in SCCM
 To Create a New Role : Go to Administration > Security > Security Roles > Copy Rule
Manage role-based security – Cntd.
 Set the Desired Criterion .
 Create a Group in Active Directory
 Add User to it
 Go to Administration > Security > Administrative Users> Add User or Group.
 You Are Done .
