Canadian Hard of Hearing Association Canadian Hard of Hearing Association-BC Chapter Driver Visor Kit Bridging the Communications Gap when stopped by Police Canadian Hard of Hearing Association BC Chapter offers a Driver Visor Kit which we hope will make your communications with a Police Officer less stressful for the Deaf or Hard of Hearing person. We also hope it will serve to educate the Police staff about the special communication needs of the hearing loss. Each driver visor kit contains a brochure explaining what is in your kit: 1.The laminated Visor Card (with 2 bulldog clips to attach to visor) in the Driver Visor Kit will be an important way of communication between you and the police officer. There are some specific ways of communication displayed on this card for the police officer to help understand your hearing loss. Front and back of driver visor card. 2. An International Hearing Loss Symbol sticker for placement on the left hand lower rear window of your car. 3. A Blue Ear Pin that can be worn while driving and visible just in case you are stopped by a police officer. 4. Pen and Paper if needed for writing messages. 5.
