The government should not spend time and
money on immigrants.
Benefits
Some people believe that if you are not
British you should not be allowed benefits
and the money comes from working citizens.
Some also think people come to this country
to ‘fleece’ the benefit system.

As more and more people began to settle in the UK and racism began to
rear its ugly head the government knew it had to act.
UK laws were introduced against this and the most important was the Race
Relations Act in 1976 which made it illegal to...

More recently the government
has introduced a ‘Britishness’
test that all new immigrants
to the UK must take.
As well as being able to speak
some English they must also
answer questions on British
life and history.
