OVERVIEW OF ACTION FOR
DEVELOPMENT AFORD 2013
• Action for Development (AFORD 2013 Co.Ltd) is
amongst the leading Capacity building established
for operation in East Africa. IT IS Not for Profit and
Non-Sectarian.
• AFORD 2013 is committed to contribute to the relief
of poverty and distress as it is evident that 4 billion
people globally are in living in poverty at the very
base of the economic pyramid.
• The people living in poverty constitute a significant
part of producers and consumers of public and
private sector goods and services.

• The objective of this study is to collect data and

Increasing Access to improved Latrines in Rural
Tanzania

TRAINING OF NGOs TANZANIA
• Training of 20 members from 10 NGOs implementing
WASH/SWASH in Lake Zone (Dec 2013)
• Understanding Accountability and LGA Budgets: With
reference to WASH In Schools
• Key issue: WASH and SWASH as basic human rights issues
• How to facilitate planning and budgeting for
WASH/SWASH in LGA.
• AFORD is leading Lake Zone SWASH Consortium as a
result of this training.
