Elementary KB Instructor will need to get his/her 419 Grades 5-6 Business Technology endorsement during summer 2014. This
involves a 3-day in-service (18 hours) and filing with State Department for endorsement.
In 2014-15 and from there on, place CT:CO (Career Development—new name) back to back with Information and Communications
Technology at the 8th Grade Level.
Changes in Career Orientation
• Career Orientation is STILL a foundation course for all programs of study.
• Beginning 2014-2015, a new course called Career Development will take
the place of Career Orientation. Career Development will be an 8th grade
class and is an integrated version of frameworks found in C.O. and projectbased technology. This is a semester course, and the teacher must hold a
teaching license covering grade 8 and complete ACE-provided in-service
for a new (418) endorsement.
• Career Development should be taught in a computer lab
