介
虚拟语气是特殊的动词形式，表示说话者的
话不是一个事实，而是一种愿望、假设、建议、
猜测、可能或幻想等。
If I were not so busy, I would go with you.
He suggests that we should all go to see the film.
It’s time we left .
I wish he hadn’t gone.

一、 虚拟语气常用在表示条件的从句和表示结果的
主句。
 1、与现在、将来事实相反：
从句： If +S.+did…….,
主句： 1st. +should do……..
其余+would do…..
1）If they had time , they would study Italian too.
2）If you dropped the glass, it would break.
 2、与过去事实相反：
从句： If + S. + had done…….
主句： 1st. + should have done…….
+ would have done ………..
1）If she hadn’t been so late, she should have met
him.

二、省掉if的条件从句结构：把were,had,should转
移至主语前，但如果从句没有were,had,should,
则不能这样做。
Should he come , tell him to ring me up.
Had he not helped us , our experiment would have
failed.
If only I were ten years younger.
If only the wind would stop.

三、 虚拟语气和情态动词could, might,would
（愿意、决心）。
If he were here, he might agree with you.
I would help you if I could.

四、虚拟语气在主语从句中：
It’s natural(necessary , strange,
important,advisable,impossible,essential) that S. +
should do……
It’s quite strange that he should have gone away
without telling us.
It’s natural that he should think so.

五、虚拟语气在宾语从句中：
1、 wish that S. did / had done ……
1）I wish that he hadn’t gone.
2）He wished that he knew how to operate
the computer.

2 、动词 demand, suggest, order,
recommend ,insist ,propose,decide ,advise,vote(建议)
后面，
that S. +(should)do…………
1）The chairman proposed that we (should )discuss
the question.
2）Most students insist that they should have more
English classes.
3）I suggest that we make a new experiment.
4）He demanded that we should hand in our paper
next week.

六、 虚拟语气在状语从句中：
as if/ though ,unless, lest, for fear that , in case, on
condition that 后+ S. + did / had done (be用 were)
1）It looks as if it might rain.
2）She was upset unless she had passed the driving
test.
3）You speak as if you had really been there.

七、 在 It’s time (that) S. + did……中，“该做sth.，
时间已经有些晚了”。
1）It’s time we went to bed.
2）It’s time we summed up our results.

八、虚拟语气用于简单句中：
1）Long live the people.
2）May good lucks be yours.
3）May you do even better.
4）May you be lucky.
5）May he be successful./ succeed.
6）May you have a good weekend.
