• There was disagreement between the Northern and Southern
states, mostly over the issue of slavery.
• Manassas, Virginia by a
creek called Bull Run.
• Battle 1: Though the Civil War began when Confederate Troops
shelled Fort Sumter on April 12, 1861, the war didn’t begin until
after this battle.
• Battle 2 : After the second battle , a special Army Ambulance
Corps was created.

Pope
launched a
series of
assaults
against
Jackson’s
position
along an
unfinished
rail road
grade.

1862:
The second
battle of Bull
Run ended.
