Most “reporting” is done using only a fraction of that capability. The pyramid allows for small, quick, solution-oriented reports that can be refreshed on demand or scheduled while keeping a drill-down or drillthrough ability to pass criteria dynamically. “Power of the Pyramid” means that the customer no longer has to store every possible combination of data to generate useful, actionable, and timely responses to information that is being reported on.
