One rule of capitulation

One time that you use capitulation is at
the beginning of a sentence.
Examples:
What’s for dinner?
 There is hockey practice today.
 How are you?

Another rule for using
capitulation

One other way you use capitulation is with
proper nouns.
- specific people or things
- specific geographic locations
- historical events
- days of the week, months and holidays.
- races, nationalities, religions, and languages
- brand names

A third rule for capitalization
 Capitalize
a title or an
abbreviation of a title when it
comes before a person’s name or
when it is used instead of a name.
Also capitalize the names and
abbreviations of academic
degrees that follow a person’s
name. Capitalize Jr. and Sr.
Examples:
General Lee
 J. Cox, M.D.
 John Edwards, Ph.D.
 Steve Ashley Jr.
 Mrs. Scott
 Dr. Wade

Words in a title except articles, prepositions,
and conjunctions need to be capitalized.
Examples:
