Guidance for independent learning:
• Complete reading exercise A by scanning the
source text for key words;
• Reread the source text. Tick language you
understand and underline language you’d like to
understand;
• Share your knowledge with people in your group;
• Complete reading exercise B;
• Recycle (find and reuse) language from the source
text to complete the translation;

adding your own opinions and/or extra details &

No me gusta nada vivir en el campo. Lo
encuentro sumamente aburrido sobre todo
durante las vacaciones cuando me aburro
mucho. Vivo en un lugar muy aislado que está
muy lejos de mis amigos. No tengo coche y la
única manera de visitar a amigos o ir de
compras es esperar el autobús que sale dos
veces al día. Además no hay mucho que hacer
en el campo. Carece de distracciones, no hay ni
cine ni muchas tiendas. Sueño con vivir en la
ciudad. En el futuro voy a desplazarme a
Madrid.

Hace cinco años que vivo en el campo y
me encanta la vida relajada y sana de
aquí. Llevo una vida mucho menos
estresada y me siento mucho más
saludable porque paso más tiempo
fuera. Conozco a todos mis vecinos y
me encanta la solidaridad que hay
entre todos. Cuando era pequeño, vivía
en la cuidad. Lo encontraba muy sucio.

La ciudad es el lugar para mí. Me
encanta salir de fiestas y me chifla la
vida nocturna de las grandes ciudades.
Además uno de mis pasatiempos
favoritos es ir de compras y hay más
variedad de tiendas en las ciudades
grandes. También, hay más empleos.
Cuando era pequeña vivía en el campo,
pero no me gustaba vivir allí puesto que
no había nada que hacer.

Vivo en la ciudad y creo que hay
ventajas e inconvenientes. Una ventaja
es que no tengo coche y no lo necesito
porque puedo viajar en transporte
público. Además hay mucho que hacer
y nunca me aburro los fines de semana.
Pero por otra parte, no me gusta la
contaminación y el tráfico de la ciudad
y me gustaría pasar más tiempo al aire
libre. Por eso voy a desplazarme al
campo cuando sea mayor.
