I’m an undergraduate student here at Nankai University and I’m happy I was asked to tell you something about the university. Nankai is actually one of the oldest universities in China, founded in 1919, and it’s a key multi-disciplinary university which is well-known for research. Alumni from Nankai include the late Premier Zhou Enlai, the mathematician Chen Shengshen and the playwright Cao Yu, among many others and the university is associated with a number of Nobel Prize winners. The university is quite international and is keen to develop even more links. Of course, there’s a lot more to say about the university and I’m sure you’ll have questions as we go around the campus.
