Project Aim
The project aims to increase transparency and
good governance in Ukraine, through improved
policy and strategy processes at local and
regional levels, and enhanced accountability
and citizen engagement with elected
representatives.

Project Components
•
Workshops on Strategy and Policy Development Framework for regional elected
representatives and appointed officials.
•
Workshops on advocacy, lobbying, coalition building, partnership development and
introduction to Citizen Participation Strategy for civil society organisations
•
Workshops for Oblasts administration personnel on practical implementation of the
Strategy and Policy Development Framework.
•
Community level events to facilitate practical engagement of the target groups in
policy and strategy development
•
Development of models and “How to” guide on the implementation of the Citizen
Participation Strategy for wide dissemination throughout Ukraine
•
National dissemination conference to showcase Citizen Participation Strategy and
Strategy and Policy Development Framework developed and piloted by the project
•
Amendments and recommendations for changes to the laws on self-governance
for submission to the Parliament of Ukraine
