What’s in it for your business?
• You have a page dedicated to your business on our
website and your business name will appear when
anyone coming onto the site is searching for a supplier
by name, sector or location. Enquirers can see what you
do, what you are able to offer, what accreditations you
have and what business networks you belong to.
• Your page will also give enquirers a direct link to your
own website if you have one and enquiries can be
directed straight to you from your page on our website.
What else can the Business
Family website offer you?
• Home page updated daily with latest headline news from
members.
• Blogging feature allows you as a local business to talk to others
and collaborate if you wish, to tell the world of any special offers,
new products or awards you have won, etc.
• Your accreditations build up trust and confidence with clients and
enable people who specifically want an organisation with a
particular accreditation to find one locally.
• Simple online registration for our programme of business support
events with your own diary page. You can easily switch your
event booking to your Outlook diary on your pc or request a text
message alerts to be sent to your mobile the day before to
remind you that you are booked on an event.
Building Economic Resilience
award:
• Our bid consisted of 2 main themes - Personal Resilience and
Business Resilience.
• Whilst the lead for this project is clearly the Economic and
Development Department (Tameside Business Family) the
personal resilience element of the bid includes Welfare rights and
Adult Social care as well as the various Regeneration
partnerships.
• An action plan with key outcomes is currently being worked on at
senior management level together with a timeline of activity for
Tameside MBC to support learning, peer to peer knowledge
transfer and the spread of best practice and improvement via the
national improvement infrastructure.
• THIS ENABLES US TO SHARE WHAT WE DO OVER A WIDER AREA.
BSF programme / Sustainable procurement:
• The Business Family has developed a close and productive
working relationship with Carillion and the Building Schools for
the Future delivery team. We work in partnership to help
maximise the local social and economic regeneration impacts in
Tameside and are communicating local successes and good
news stories.
• This is opening up supply opportunities for Tameside Works First
registered local businesses.
• There are recycled materials from the programme being
channelled into local Third Sector and Voluntary projects.
• Carillion have also partnered the Business Family in organising
and delivering development workshops for local SMEs to help
them tender for current and future projects.
Meet the Buyer event:
• We have started planning for this major event and it will
be targeted at matching sector based local purchasing
requirements from both the private and public
organisations to local provision and will be held at
Stalybridge Market Hall in October 2010.
Combined Business 2 Business
events with Tameside Chamber:
• Plans are underway to make the next Business Family
Business to Business networking event a combined one
with the Tameside Chamber of Commerce.
• Register now to be kept in the loop!
