ELABORATE on your answer.
The guiding principle for Hammurabi’s Code was “an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth”. In the
text it states, “…the punishment for a crime should match the seriousness of the crime”.
Hammurabi’s Code was meant to limit punishment and fueds.
