I work in the telecommunications sector since 2003 and with projects since 2012. In my last job in Brazil, where I worked in a company that provided services to the Brazilian Air Force, I worked as a telecommunications engineer in many projects for modernization of systems in airports, in addition to also performing the functions inherent to a project manager, since our managers delegated functions, such as scoping, time, change management, among others. After conducting some training in agile methodologies and obtaining the PSM-I certification, I understand that the projects where I worked in Brazil would be better managed and would add more value if we used agile methodologies. Due to the legal nature of the organization, which is a public agency, specifically a military organization, where the pyramidal hierarchy reigns, the adoption of agile methodologies would be a paradigm shift. However, due to the change in the legislation and a requirement of the public inspection agencies, the company I worked for had to undergo changes to adapt to the law and take advantage of new business opportunities in the market. Nowadays I can identify that the frameworks Scrum, Kanban and Lean would bring more value to the company due to these changes, since all the organization's projects had different sectors involved, in addition to other organizations in several cities in Brazil and several companies in the world, since most bidding processes were won by foreign companies. And due to this immense complexity, to the changes, to having to observe new business opportunities in the market, to the peculiarities of the public sector, to the inspection of external agencies demanding more transparency in the projects/processes and to the facts that the projects of each winning company of the bidding processes impacted the organization's projects, I realize that SAFe would be essential to integrate the different projects of the different sectors and companies. Another interesting implementation would be the use of Jira Software and Confluence as a management tool. With the proficiency I have in these tools, I can see the projects being better managed. In 2018 I decided to move to Portugal to face a new challenge, that of making a Master's Degree focused on business strategies. I enrolled in the Marketing and Business Strategy course at the University of Minho. In 2020 I am decided to obtain more knowledge and certifications.
