State a global issue that you can see or observe in your place (barangay or municipality). Describe the community problem that you stated. Explain as well the reason/s why this problem still exists. Consequently, specify your recommendation/s in alleviating the problem. Growing poverty is a global issue that I can see or observe in our community. We all know that poverty is a major global issue that most of the country are dealing with; it occurs when a country's citizens lack or do not have enough money to cover basic needs such as food, housing, and clothing. And as time passes, it expands and grows to the point that millions of people suffer from hunger and even die as a result of their inability to afford for it, and so on. And, I'm here sharing that this is occurring in our barangay as well as other parts of our municipality. The prior municipal council's lack of action was concerning, and I am hoping that the newly elected officers will address this community problem. To describe this community problem, poverty is highly visible in our community because many people live in far-flung areas, some are homeless, and children are obliged to labor in whatever manner they can, such as assisting in parking areas, collecting plastics and selling them, and many other things despite their early age. The reasons for the existence of this problem include expanding population, a lack of education, restricted work opportunities in the community, and, most importantly, a flawed system and governance. Furthermore, inequalities, gender discrimination, and conflicts are among the other reasons that I feel are contributing to the problem's existence, and if the municipal council does not address them, the problem will continue to grow. My recommendations, which I believe will definitely aid in the alleviation of the problem, include education for both children and parents. For example, to lower the expense of schooling, pupils may be provided with essential school supplies such as uniforms, paper, pencils, and other items. Providing meals during the school day or through a feeding program will alleviate these children's hunger and encourage frequent attendance. It will be critical to provide parents with information on the importance of education in order to increase and retain school attendance. Also, I believe that a free family planning seminar would benefit them because it would increase their awareness and education, resulting in smaller, healthier families that are better equipped to care for themselves. Another is, of course, excellent governance, because these people require government assistance, such as additional job opportunities that can accommodate a large number of people. I feel that job creation or increase in employment can significantly alleviate this problem in our community.
