CLIL Geography 1 Media
Goal: You will create your own country that includes geography features
and vocabulary that we have learned so far!
Your final product will include a poster with a labeled illustration of your
country and a written part.
Requirements:
Your country poster must include...

A name (be creative!)
A theme (to go along with its name!)
A Key/Legend with symbols for cities, capitals, landforms
Compass rose
2 cities and a capital labeled with name & symbol
At least 4 types of landforms and bodies of water (ex.
Mountains/mountain ranges, volcanoes, valleys, rivers, oceans, seas etc.)
On a separate piece of paper, you will write... (At least 10 sentences- Neatly
written or typed.)
1. What hemisphere your country is in
2. What the climate of your country is and explain why the climate is the
way it is
3. The types of resources (at least two) that can be found in your country
and how they help the rest of the world
4. How the landforms were formed (What kind of tectonic plate boundary is
your country on/near? What happens at this boundary?)
5. Any other interesting information about your country! Such as its history,
ancestors, relative location to Italy.
Please make sure everything is LABELED and clearly drawn and identified.
Present your country to the class in a professional manner and be a
respectful audience member when your classmates are presenting.
