To increase the academic performance of the school and to achieve it’s vision and goals in delivering basic
quality education, the school believes that by sharpening and enhancing the capabilities and competence of the
teachers, this optimistic dream of the school can still be realized, that’s why a Teacher’s Need Assessment was
floated with the following results:.

Teachers need review /inputs of the teaching strategies in the core subject areas.
All teachers responded that they needed ample time to test construction assessment techniques
1 teacher responded that she still needs computer literacy skills.
With these results , an INSET focusing on the assessment on the K-12 Curriculum is strongly needed to
answer the current problems of teachers.
CONCLUSION:
Therefore, conducting a School-based In-Service Training on Assessment on the k-12 Curriculum is
necessary to address the pressing needs of the school.
