Reflection Paper: Analysis of Pigafetta’s Chronicle Considering that it is among the earliest written records that can be used to understand Philippine history. Many historians have utilized Pigafetta's work to define the history of the Philippines during Spanish colonization. However, we are not sure how accurate Pigafetta's work is. It is a story that was created by a victor. Due to the lack of any other sources, this led us to think that the Pigafetta work is accurate. Given that there are no wrong actions of Magellan as an adventurer in Pigafetta's stories, I discovered some prejudice in the analysis of his Chronicle. Additionally, his interpretations of the homes and clothing styles of the era have not been given attentionBut his writings and anecdotes are a great aid to historians in figuring out what took place in the Philippines in the early days. His writings provided a wealth of details regarding the events leading up to and taking place during the fight between Magellan and Lapu-lapu. Additionally, it dispels the urban legend surrounding Magellan's death. His writings reveal that kings and queens were the ones who ruled and administered several regions of the Philippines.
