Overall, China, Japan and South Korea have similar cultures in their society, because these 3 countries are related together in term of history, language and culture in the same Asia-Pacific region as East Asia. From country comparison via Hofstede-insights, the graphs show 6 dimensions as follow; power distance, individualism, masculinity, uncertainty avoidance, long term orientation and indulgence. These ratios relate to the information about work culture of those countries which research by our group members. Culture in workplace of these countries are quite the same. Firstly, manner is the important thing which Japanese, Chinese and South Korean people are very concern with, when they have a meeting or business conversation, level of language will be different, it is based on age, gender, also position because of the power distance that rather high especially in China. Second culture in work is time, all of them is very punctual and on time. Third, the long-term orientation in these 3 countries is very high as the graph above, then people in these countries will be very determined to work in their duties and have clear goals for work especially foresight in long term. In my view, I think culture of Chinese, Japanese and South Korean, there is the same way in term of attitude, society, and people. However, there are some different cultures such as language, foods and traditions but overall of working environment is similar. If they have to work together in the same organization or oversea working, I think that it is relatively easy to adapt to work in cultural differences. Even though they are from different countries but the cultural roots as Asian are quite similar so, the work performance will be smooth. However, language differences can be a difficult obstacle for these 3 countries, all of which have their own language. Therefore, using the main language such as English or Chinese may reduce this problem.
