MY FAVOURITE BOOK
Books are really superb source of knowledge and enlightenment. They Open whole world
of its readers. As it is said that:
"The greater our knowledge
increases, The greater our
ignorance unfolds unfold".
There are hundred of books n this world. They leave an enhancing and soothing effect on
our minds and our perplexed souls. A book is a volume of many sheets of paper bounded
together, containing text, illustrations, photographsor other kind of information. I have
read many books but the Holy Quran is the most impportant and sacred book to me. This
its is my favourite book.
"Alif Laam Raa. A book which we
have revealed to you
(Muhammad) so that you may
lead the people from out of the
darkness into the light by their
Lord's leave to the path of the
Allah Almighty, th Praiseworthy."
[Quran 14:1]
To bgin with, it is necessary to introduce th Quran. It is a message from Allah to
humanity, which was transmitted to us in a chain starting from the Almighty Himself to
the angel Gabriel to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This message was given to the
Prophet (PBUH) in pieces over a period of approximately 23 years. The Quran has 114
surahs altogether. The Quran has 6666 ayahs or verses. At also has 30 juz in it. The
Quran has 14 sajdahs. The language of the original message was Arabic but it has been
translated into many other languages. The Quran includes numerous moral values which
are worth mentoring.
The Holy Quran contains a universal message for the whole of mankind without any
limitation of time and space. It seeks to guide man in all walks of the life, spiritual or
wordly, Individual or collective. It contains directions and code of knowledge which
deals with thousands of uneducated a like. The Quran is an ocean of knowledge which
deals with thousands of subjects, many of which have not been explored by men. It
speaks of the best rules relating to laws of culture, civilization, morals, social justice,
administration, leadership, mutual dealings, distribution of wealth, economics,
spiritualish, Divien recogintion, purification of souls, enlightenment of hearts, unions
with Allah, organization and welfare of humanity, purpose of this creation and so on.
It specifies all our duties and laws and rules to spend our life. We should try to obey all
the rules and ways that Quran tells us.
"This day have I perfected your
religion for you completed my
favour from you and have chosen
for you Islam as your religion".
For more than 14 centuries ago people of the whole world were spending their lives in
darkness. Then Allah sent His last and greatest Messenger Holy Prophet (PBUH) and
revealed His last Holy Book Quran on Prophet. For more than 14 centuries, it has guided
mankind and it will guide till the end of the world.
"Verily We: It is We Who have
sent down th Dhikr and surely, we
will guard it" [Al-Hijr 15:9]
"It is for Us to collect it and to
give you the ability to recite" [AlQiyamah 75:17]
Thus the Holy Quran is a complete code of the life. One can find a solution to every
problem. It is not only deals with the wordly affairs but also with affairs of the world
hearafter. It gives us a complete guidance. There are clear injunctions about our life in the
Holy Quran. Every aspect of our life has been discussed is detail in it. That is why the
muslims cannot go against its teachings.
