In this study, we studied and analyzed the problems that are considered a real obstacle in translating meanings of the Quran in French. This study is divided into 3 parts, the first one deals with comparing between the differences in translation methods (literal translation and free translation) and the problems resulted from using them. The second part is about the lexicon of the Quran ( multiple meaning words, homonyms and teleology). The third part deals with the grammatical and linguistic differences in interpreting the meanings of the Holy Quran. In this study, we focused on Hameed Allah's translation because it was approved by The General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We also provided a set of suggestions that would help to convey the correct meanings of Allah's words "The Almighty" to French speakers.
