site on actin filament
MYOSIN HEAD utilizes ATP and
converts it into ADP and
phosphate
The exposed actin filament is
attached to Myosin head and
formation of CROSS BRIDGE
OCCURS
phosphate is released from the
myosin head
ADP is used and Power Stroke
pulls the sarcomere along its
length centrally
The Sarcomere contracts, Z line is
pulled closer and H zone shortens,
leading to muscle contraction
