Albumin synthesis occurs in hepatocytes which is indicated by the green border Well since Albumin is a protein , it is synthesized in a similar manner like the other proteins we know Firstly, in the nucleus, Dna transcription(Transcription is the process of making an RNA copy of a gene sequence.) and mRNA forms and leaves the nucleus via the nuclear pore into the cytoplasm It then binds to a ribosome to form a polysome which will synthesize Preproalbumin which is albumin with a 24 Aminoacid chain extension attached to its N terminal This is then transported to the rough ER where 18 of those AA are cleaved by the peptidase enzyme leaving a 6 AA chain called proalbumin. It is finally taken to the golgi apparatus where the 6AA are removed and albumin is released Albumin will then be secreted into blood stream immediately after its synthesis
