Instruction and Examples
You are going to create an awesome digestive system using anything you can find or even
make around the house!
Instructions: You are going to create a digestive tract. This is your chance to be super creative.
Your digestive tract can be made out of anything. Here are some ideas:
● recycled products like toilet paper rolls, bottles of different sizes, plastic bags, reusable
shopping bags
● Natural materials like sticks, stones, leaves, dirt
● Craft material like colored paper, felt, cotton balls, clay (there are good recipes for
homemade playdough online)
● Legos
● Food items
● Any combination of the above or anything you can think of from home
Here are the requirements for your digestive system:
1. It must be 3-D. Whatever you make it out of, it cannot just be flat paper. (5 points)
2. It has to contain the following organs: Mouth, esophagus, saliva glands, stomach,
small intestine, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, large intestine, rectum. These must be
distinct, identifiably parts.You can add additional parts if you would like. (5 points)
3. Each part must be labeled so that each part can be identified. (5 points)
4. It must represent at least one full hour of work. Meaning it is well thought out and put
together. It shows evidence of significant effort. (5 points)
5. A picture of your project is submitted on the assignment by the end of the day on____.
(5 points)
You have two class periods to work on your project. If you need more time, it is your
responsibility to do it during non-class time.
