ASSIGNMENT I: BIOLOGICAL DRAWINGS
Biological drawings are important for any scientist to be able to represent anything (a
cell, plant, animal, building, etc.) in a clear and digestible way. As such, it is incredibly important
for one’s scientific career to be able to effectively create said illustrations.
Your task is to observe the image below, make a drawing of one of the cells, and extrapolate as
much information about it as you can. For example, you can choose to comment on what kind of
cell it is, what organelles you can see, if it belongs to an animal or a plant, etc. Make sure to
include all of this information in your figure caption. Consult the checklist on the next page to
ensure that you’ve completed everything that is required for this drawing.
