Matter
Anything that has mass and takes up space
Properties of Matter
descriptions of what matter is like or acts like; can be chemical or phyisical
Volume
The amount of space an object takes up
Law of conservation of mass
The rule in science that states that mass cannot just disappear or appear.
molecule
a particle of matter made from two or more atoms.
dissolve
to form a solution with another substance.
Chemical Change
A change in matter that changes what the matter is made of. One or more new
substances are formed.
Solubility
A property of matter that describes how easily a substance dissolves into another
substance
Thermal Conductivity
A property of matter that describes how easily heat passes through an object.
Electrical Conductivity
A property of matter that describes how easily electricity passes through an object.

Matter that takes the shape of its container but keeps its volume

Matter that keeps its shape and volume

A property of matter that describes how the molecules are arranged and how quickly
they are moving - Solid, Liquid, or Gas.
