Practical:
Revision: GSWAP – Forehand & Backhand

Have students gather in and recall technique for forehand & backhand throw
Introduce defensive, attacking stances, forcing

Introduce students to the concept of marking your man (stall counting) & stepping
around when throwing.
Warm Up – Hitting Forehand & Backhand


Divide students into groups of 4/5. Make sure that there is a mix of black and white
students in each team.
Instruct students that to move within their area, working on hitting the target
utilising the forehand and backhand.
Introduction To Mini-UD Game


Before dismissing students for the practice, indicate that the whistle will indicate
that your group is now to move into a game of 2v2 (3v3) UD. If your group has an
even number of individuals on it. One person waits of as sub and comes on when a
point is scored. The player will come onto the team that just lost the point.
After 5 minutes we will rotate the groups.
Introduction To Stacking & Positioning


Bringing the students in, explain on the small portable whiteboard the idea of
vertical and horizontal stacking. What to call etc, have students attempt to explain
why it might be beneficial to stack.
Walk students through the stacking procedure without a disk.
2 Game fields Of UD



State that we are going to two games of UD. Check & Remind them of the video they
watched about the rules. Encourage students to try out the strategies the learnt
today: e.g. forcing, stacking, stalling, etc.
Divide students evenly across races. Teams should look something like this:
(1) Reuban, Peter, Majak, Harper, Isaac
(2) Seb, Antony, Garang, Ben, David
(3) Jacob, Nyuon, Kai, Malachi, Zac
(4) Alex, Rah, Tony, Nathan, Jet, Jaiden
Rotate teams after 10-15m.
Conclude:

Conclude key skills. State well done to those who put in. Remind them that their
lesson plan will be due at the end of the lesson on Tuesday.
