You will create a newspaper article or comic strip on the functions of either prokaryotic or eukaryotic
cells. This project will be done independently in class. If you are not done by the end of class then you
have homework. You must bring it back next class period to receive full points.
1. Decide what type of cell to write about, prokaryotes or eukaryotes.
2. Create an outline for your article (introduction, body, and conclusion).
3. Begin researching and writing your article or comic strip. Some materials you may want or
choose to use are your text book, notes, or the Internet. (Remember the acceptable places to
gather information from on the Internet!)
4. Write a draft first that includes explain the structure and function in your selected type of cell.
Get teacher approval before completing your final draft.
5. Complete your final product. If it is a comic strip, make sure to complete your illustration.
