Am interested on this, because pupils in a classroom situation react differently when asked to work in groups or pairs. Some pupils show excitement and interest while others become frustrated. Then the question is does this strategy develop a positive self-efficacy on the subject or not. Data will be collected by using observation of classroom, learner interviews, questionnaires and learner’s work (classwork, homework and tests).The population will be high school learners from a grade 8 math class. Learners from the class will be selected by means of purposive sampling to be observed, given questionnaire and interviewed.
