Learning Management System Rationale A learning management system (LMS) is a software application or Web-based technology used to plan, implement, and assess a specific learning process. Typically, a learning management system allows the trainer to create and deliver content, monitor student participation, and assess student performance. A learning management system may also provide students with the ability to use interactive features such as chat, video conferencing and discussion forums. This online platforms work very well especially for the blended learning methodology with synchronous and asynchronous training sessions. In a training course context it is useful to assure a help-desk via Google Hangout/Skype for individual support in case of problems.
