•  Dynamic integrity
•  Materials /
coatings
•  Combustion
•  Thermal
conduction
•  Probabilistic
design
•  Diagnostics and
sensors
•  Only by closely integrating the R&D network
was it possible to set a new world record for
power plant efficiency.
•  Some 50 leading universities worldwide are
contributing their core competences (e.g.,
Tsinghua University in Beijing).
•  Preferred and licensed suppliers for specific
strategic components

Highly efficient
gas turbines SGT-8000H
•  The gas turbine SGT-8000H series used in a combinedcycle power plant can help achieve up to 60.75% net
efficiency (world-record) and up to 5% higher return on
investment compared to a smaller F-class engine.
•  The increase in efficiency is made possible by the
SGT-8000H’s improved combustion and blade-cooling
systems.
•  Advanced gas turbine and combined cycle technology
contribute to lower emissions, fuel consumption and
lifecycle costs.
•  The SGT-8000H series is No.1 in advanced gas turbine
frames and has gained a 35% average market share in
units over the last 3 years (FY10-12).
•  So far, Siemens has already sold 20 units of the
SGT-8000H series on the global markets.
