A lot of planning and work goes into opening a new location or moving an existing one.
Anyone who has been involved in a move, either personally or professionally, knows how
much detail is involved.

INDUSTRY UPDATES
GFCI UPDATE
All GFCI’s produced after June , must have the self-test and reverse
line-load mis-wire function. This is true
for all manufacturers. These improved
GFCI features will result in an increase
in cost.
Regulations allow GFCI’s produced
before June th to be sold until
inventories at the factories and
distributorships are depleted. :e are
starting to receive the new improved
GFCIs in our inventory. If your job
requires either the old or the new style
GFCI, please verify availability with your
Viking sales representative.
Milwaukee Tool has expanded their
very popular line of heated clothing.
1ew this year is a heated vest. :e
are also adding two new jackets, one
in black and one in camo. <ou’ll ˉnd

COPPER WIRE:
STEEL CONDUIT:
Copper prices moved up to .lb in early
September and have since slipped back to
the .3lb range. The consensus is there is
a better chance of copper prices going lower
than higher. Copper wire prices are now as
low as they have been since we came out of
the recession when copper was trading
below .lb.
Steel conduit manufacturers have announced
a price increase for the beginning of the
month several times this year and each time
that increase hasn’t held. Another increase
has been announced. :e are waiting to see if
history repeats itself.
PVC CONDUIT:
ALUMINUM WIRE:
Aluminum wire prices historically are not as
volatile as copper wire prices. They do tend
to follow copper wire prices as the aluminum
wire manufacturers keep a spread between
their prices and copper wire prices to make
aluminum an attractive alternative to copper.
The result is aluminum wire prices are falling
right along with copper.
PVC conduit prices are as low as they have
been in many years as the raw materials used
to make PVC conduit are heavily tied to the
natural gas and oil business. Manufacturers
are attempting to raise prices as they feel
prices have gotten excessively low.
