Ring Light
Illumination Structure
The flexible board if formed to the desired shape and a high-density LED array placed on the substrate. The light is
concentrate at the center of the illumination system.
Features
High Illuminance LEDs deployed at high density to produce 360 degrees shadow-free illumination.
Able to produce fresh, vivid images. High eveness due to illumination from the outer circumference of the ring.
Wide area of illumination from the outer diameter.

Illumination Structure
The flexible board is fixed at the desired angle to illuminate the work piece from a low angle.
Features
Large and low-angle illumination is perfect for edge detection and embossing printing, damage, etc., on metal surface. Providing 360-degree illumination for reflective objects from an angle without producing reflections. Ideal for
slightly uneven surfaces and scratches.
Optional a diffusion plate can be mounted to improve illumination eveness.

Light from the LEDs that is placed at four sights of the light guild, passes through the diffuser to produce an uniform illumination.
Features
The Lighting is easy to implement. To creates a silhouette of the work-piece for a very-high-contrast image. Power

Illumination Structure
Light from chip LEDs packed into a flat circuit board passes through a diffusion plate and illuminates the work
piece from behind as a silhouette. The unifomity of the surface is nearly 85%.
Features
Slim type lighting with LEDs mounted at the bottom of the light guide to brighten it.
LEDs are arranged at high intensity to produce high luminosity. Light from chip LEDs passes through the diffusion
plate and illuminates the work pieces from behind a silhouette.

Diffuse Front Light
Illumination Structure
Lights from the LEDs around the periphery of the light diffusion plate is scattered and reflected within the plate to
create diffuse light that illuminates from directly overhead.
Features
Ring-shaped light with overhead diffuse light eliminates LED glares and shadows for even illumination.
Best for preventing halo or specular effect. Easy to implement.

Illumination Structure
Through the light conduction plate, the object is illuminated from a low angle by uniform diffuse light.
The FHDM Type is equipped with high brightness LEDs to provide 360 degree uniformity and larger coverage on
the object area.
Features
Suitable for character inspection of workpieces with glossy surface and dome-shaped
surface.
Perfectly suited for glossy or in-pocket inspection. The lighting covers 180 degrees wide angle to make shadow
free images when inspecting a component inside a carrier tape pocket. The diffusion allows a uniform light covering.

desired.
Features
Bar-shaped lighting using LEDs mounted on a flat board. High density arrays using high-intensity LEDs create optimum oblique lighting conditions. Reflection control by mounting a diffusion plate. Flexible installation to enable a

A half mirror aligns the high-intensity, even light from the LED array to the same optical axis as the lens.
Features
Coaxial is an uniform light that runs perpendicular with camera axis across the entire field of view makes on-axis

Microscope Light
Illumination Structure
Conventional microscope illumination systems are placed below the lens surface, but the bottom of the CMR attaches flush with the bottom surface of the lens with the illumination units encircling the lens.
These units can be used as replacements for existing stereoscopic microCamera
scope illumination units.
Features
These units have far less flicker than fluorescent illumination units, making
them easier on eyes. A specialised power supply that discharges static electricity is developed to prevent static electricity buildup in the illumination unit.

Helpful Instructions
New generation of LED light source for Machine Vision
LED Illumination developed LED light source solutions for the machine vision applications. Our role is to help the
customers with their problem and enable them to capture a good image quality and to support what they need as
today‘s technologies trending.
As we know, machine vision today requires high brightness from the light source due to demand of high speed,
shorter exposure time for image capturing. Consequent high brightness or high power LED is used. When high
power comes in place, it generates more heat and thermal management becomes a more important element of the
light source housing design.
A large heat sink is required for the high power light source. Large means heavy - but weight and size is a key challenge in the new generation of the light source design.
We are focusing onto 4 major key successes in the new generation light source:
1. Better thermal conduction of the housing than previous materials:
2. Lower weight.
3. Longer lifespan of the LED‘s.
4. Greater range of light
Thermal Conduction
In the past and current, aluminium is the most common material used for LEDlightsource housings by most manufacturers. Because it is easy to shape and
cost effective for small and medium size of production.
A large housing to dissipate heat is required, weight becomes significant increased and it becomes necessary for the manufacturer to reconsider choosing the
right material. Today, there is a new material (Cool Polymer) which is lighter than
aluminiums are available. Cool Polymer is a modified engineering and commodity thermoplastic resins with the ability to transfer heat. Thermal conductivity is
imparted by additives.
Longer Lifespan of the LED‘s
In general, most LED manufacturer has given a specification of 100K operating hours before it drop to 50% of its
original intensity. But in reality, the application and the operating temperature condition must meet in others to
guarantee the given specifications.
For long life span, there are a few key points must considered:
1. PCB material (aluminium PCB for high power LED)
2. Heat mate (polymer) as interface material between PCB and housing
3. Fin or fan to remove heat from the housing surface.
4. Housing design to bring the average temperature on light source at 40°C
5. Strobe mode will help to reduce LED change on time compared to continuous mode.
