PRESS RELEASE New mag.x 125 inspection system delivers unparalleled image quality across broad fields of view OEMs can now integrate exceptional imaging performance for greater throughput in critical inspection applications Contact: Scott Orr 78 Schuyler Baldwin Drive Fairport, NY 14450 USA Tel: (585) 223-2370 Fax: (585) 223-1999 scott.orr@us.qioptiq.com www.qioptiq.com Feldkirchen Germany, February 04, 2014 – The mag.x system 125 inspection system stands out due to its exceptional image quality covering large fields-ofview. Its high numerical aperture (NA), the low overall magnifications and the large image circle make the mag.x system 125 ideal for use with high-resolution and large-format detectors in critical biomedical imaging and industrial inspection applications. High optical quality is not only ensured on the optical axis, but is also maintained over the entire sensor format. With the Tube Lens 2.25x, sensor formats up to 56 mm are supported. Thanks to long working distances and correction of the lenses without cover glasses, this system can be universally employed. Exact object-side telecentricity is precisely maintained, preventing distortion of measurement results due to threedimensional objects or variation of the object position. The high quality of the image can be fully exploited only if the object illumination is optimally adapted. This is why the mag.x system 125 has a builtin coupled illumination beam bath (vertical illuminator) for bright-field reflected light illumination. The lighting system operates on the Köhler principle, with adjustable aperture and field stops. Thus the lighting and coherence parameters of the image (relationship of illumination and imaging Discover the Q! www.qioptiq.com Page 1 of 2 aperture) can be optimally adjusted to individual inspection tasks. Furthermore, the pupil can be adjusted to the particular lens used, ensuring the optimum telecentric illumination for any lens.
