Nisshinbo to Transfer Electric Double-Layer
Capacitor Business
Nisshinbo Holdings Inc. (the Company) announces that it entered into an agreement with TOC
Capacitor Co., Ltd. (TOCC), a subsidiary of the Company and TPR Co., Ltd., to transfer the
Company’s electric double-layer capacitor (EDLC) manufacturing and sales business to TOCC
effective November 12, 2014.
1. Reasons for the Transfer
The Company has been engaged in business for EDLC that make possible high output with
extremely rapid discharge since 2007, but will transfer the manufacture and sale of EDLC to
TOCC and focus its management resources on the development of high-capacitance devices
that make use of its proprietary carbon composite materials technologies.
