Electric Double Layer Capacitors (EDLC)
SR / VR / VT Series
Ultra-low resistance design (0.7F/25mΩ)
ideal for auxiliary power supplies in portable devices
Product Outline
In recent years, EDLCs, which feature high capacity and excellent charge/discharge capability, are quickly gaining
ground as auxiliary power supplies for applications requiring high output in a short period of time, such as digital
camera LED flash, smartphones, and energy storage countermeasures against instantaneous voltage drops
(e.g.SSD). Our products feature a strong aluminum laminate exterior that facilitates automatic mounting, as well as
the smallest resistance in their class (SR/VR series), contributing to improved performance and smaller, thinner,
end-products.

Smaller power supply
can be used
Applications that require a large voltage load in a short period of time such as
LED flash instantaneously reduces the power supply voltage, draining the
battery. EDLC is designed to assist this large instantaneous load, limiting the
supply voltage drop, prolonging battery life. In addition, the longer operating
time provided by this assist operation makes it possible to reduce the size of
the main power supply for increased miniaturization.

EDLCs can be used as a battery assist to prevent equipment malfunction,
stoppage, and even damage caused by various factors, including power
outages, voltage fluctuations, and instantaneous voltage drops, by rapidly
discharging stored energy.
