HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR BRACELET SIZE
NIVES uses two different sizes for bracelets:
Stiff bracelets, like bangles or cuffs are sized using the inner diameter or circumference of the
bracelet.
Chains and chain like bracelets are sized using the length of the bracelet in inch or centimeters
(straightened bracelet measured including the clasp and the last stone).
BRACELET MEASURING TIPS
Make sure your hands and arms are at a normal body temperature. Hands and wrist may expand
when hot or one has moved a lot.
Before ordering a bracelet verify the correct chain length or diameter by measuring the width or
circumference of your wrist or hand.
To find a correct size, measure the width of your wrist or the circumference of the wrist and
compare it with the size guideline of our bracelets. For bangles measure the hand circumference.
The best place for taking the measurement is where the wrist/respectively hand is the widest. The
bracelet circumference/diameter should be a bit bigger than the width of the wrist/hand or exact
circumference, so that the bracelet or bangle will not press the wrist when the hand moves.
You can measure your size by different methods, like e.g. with a well fitting bracelet you already
own, a measuring tape, with our measuring guide or with a non stretchy ribbon.

OPTION 1
MEASURE CURRENT BRACELET
STEP 1: Select a bracelet that properly fits.
STEP 2: Measure the bracelet from clasp to end with a ruler or measuring tape and compare it
to the NIVES bracelet size chart below.
STEP 3: If the bracelet falls between two sizes, order the larger size.

OPTION 2
USE A RIBBON
If you have measured your wrist with a ribbon, or know the circumference in inch or millimeters,
use the following chart to convert the length to a bracelet size.
If in doubt, move up to the next larger half size.
Avoid using elastic string or stretchy paper to measure bracelet size as these materials can stretch
or twist, yielding an inaccurate measurement.

NIVES BRACELET STANDARD SIZE
NIVES bracelets come in a standard size which falls between NIVES size X-SMALL and MEDIUM.
The standard bracelet has three different rings on the end for closing the bracelet at three different
lenghts (measurements to be seen in the list below).

USE THE SIZE GUIDE TO MEASURE YOUR BRACELET SIZE
You can also use our bracelet measuring guide attached.
We attached a cut out measuring guide in order to make it easier for you to select the right
bracelet size.
Please make sure your printer is set up right and the sizes are shown properly.
STEP 1: Cut out the measuring guide on the next side.
STEP 2: After cutting out the guide, cut a slit on the measuring guide where it indicates “CUT HERE”. Insert the pointed end through the opening you have cut at the end of the
measuring guide.
STEP 3: Wrap the measuring guide around your wrist or hand. Start by placing the flat end of
the strip just below the wrist, where you would normally wear the bracelet and wrap the
arrow end around until the fit is tight.
Same method applies for measuring the hand. Measure the widest point of your hand thus
the bangle will fit over it.
STEP 4: Once wrapped, the number closest to the arrow point is your wrist circumference
or tight bracelet size. Add a centimeter/ or 0.39 inch to the measurement, since a
correctly sized bracelet leaves some space for the wrist without sticking to the skin. Same
is true for the hand measurement. If in doubt, move up to the next larger half size. Choose
bracelet size also according to your wearing preferences, but please keep it mind that it
can hurt you when sitting too tight and also the bracelet can break if there is too much
pressure on the chain while wearing it. Also do not wear it too loose since it can easily get
caught when hanging too loose or it can even fall off from the hand.

- Please, measure the bar at the left to make sure your print out is
correctly sized.

BRACELET FIT
The fit of a bracelet will vary between each individual.
For delicate bracelets with a thin chain we recommend a tight or exact fit. The other bracelet
styles should have a comfort fit except when buying large or thick cuffs or bangles. For bangles it
is better to wear them in loose fit so it does not feel it is suffocating the wrist.
Some of NIVES’s bracelets have a clasp that can be attached to any of the three rings on the
chain. With these bracelets the size can be easily adjusted and measuring the correct size is not
that important as long as the chain length is sufficient.
FITTING STYLE
ADD INCH/ CM TO WRIST SIZE

NIVES STANDARD BRACELET CLOSURE
NIVES standard bracelets should fit well for sizes from X-SMALL to MEDIUM.
Please be aware when wearing it in the first ring (size 6.69 inch/ 17cm) the part with the other
rings and the last diamond will hang down. If you do not like that effect always order the size,
thus the clasp is attched in the first or second ring so the effect becomes less visible. In case our
standard size bracelet does not fit you or you would like it to be more loose and comfortable, just

STEP 1: Close your fingers together and bring your thumb to
your little finger (as pictured). Pretend that you were
putting on a bangle.
STEP 2: Using our measuring guide or measurement tape or a
non stretchy ribbon and wrap it around your hand at
the widest point. If you are using a ribbon, mark your size with a pen on the crossing point. Then
measure the ribbon with a ruler or measuring tape. The
length you receive would be the circumference of your
hand.
STEP 3: Compare your hand circumference to the chart below.
Purchase a bangle with diameter that is the next size
up from your actual hand measurement.

TIPS FOR BUYING A BRACELET AS A SURPRISE
Ask your significant other’s friends or mother, father, son, daughter or friend if they know
her/his bracelet or wrist size. Borrow one of your significant other’s bracelets or bangles (a
well fitting one) and use the bracelet measurements above to determine its size.
