LEONARDO DA VINCI: MOBILITY IVT - STUDENTS
2011 – 2013 MALAGA, LONDON, PRAGUE, RZESZOW, LISBON,
SZENTENDRE:
NEW SKILLS FOR NEW WORK PLACES
41 students of the school from branches Marketing in tourism, Information technologies,
Transport and logistics, Car-mechanic and Stonecutter took part in the project. Mobilities
were carried out in 6 groups in 6 destinations:
turnus 1 - Malaga, Spain - 6 students, October 2011;
turnus 2 - London, England - 7 students, November 2011;
turnus 3 - Prague, Czech Republic – 10 students, April 2012;
turnus 4 - Rzeszow, Poland - 7 students, September 2012;
turnus 5 - Montijo, Lisbon, Portugal - 6 students, February-March 2013;
turnus 6 - Szentendre, Hungary - 5 students, April 2013.
The aim of the project was to innovate the content of the vocational education in our school.
The internships enabled to develop students´ key competences, observe the innovations in
their field of study and implement them into own study programmes. Excursions to
International Tourism Fair in London and Portugal were the added value to the project. The
stays improved European dimension in education, a positive attitude towards the lifelong
learning, widened the school partnership network as well as the school position in education
market.
Validation of the skills obtained was ensured via the certificates from receiving partners and
Eoropasses Mobility. Project results and spacial promotion materials will be used in the
teaching process and mainly for innovation of pedagogic documentation.
2010 SZENTENDRE, GRANADA, PLYMOUTH: DEVELOPMENT OF KEY
COMPETENCES IN CULTURAL TOURISM OF EUROPEAN DESTINATIONS
Project main objectives were the development of the participants´ key competences in the
context of marketing in cultural tourism.
The project content included internship placements of 3 groups of students in companies
connected with cultural tourism in 3 geographically and culturally different European
destinations:
- Szentendre (Hungary): 6 students, 2 teachers
- Granada (Spain): 6 students, 1 teacher
- Plymouth (Great Britain): 12 students, 2 teachers
The project target group consisted of 24 students of the 1st – 3rd forms in study branches
marketing in tourism and information and telecommunication technologies accompanied with
5 teachers.
In the area of vocational training the project developed and enriched vocational knowledge
and skills especially in the field of marketing in cultural tourism, social communication, tourism
services, applied informatics. Where possible, the students carried out marketing research in
the training site that was aimed at basic information such as a short description of the
institution and its position in the culture market, important partners or competitors, target
groups of customers, product creation, calendar of events, product offer and distribution
towards the customers, giude and animation activities, public relations. Moreover, they carried
out the research in the field (questionnaires, face-to-face interviews) among the residents as
well as visitors to find out how they are informed and satisfied with the offer of cultural
institutions in the target destinations. During the placements the students worked with the
latest ICT in the process of data collecting, processing, evaluating, electronic communication,
making reservations, updating web pages, developing promotion materials.
The knowledge and skills obtained were confirmed through language certificate after the
intensive culture and language courses (Hungarian, Spanish, English) as well as vocational
certificate given by the partner institution (in some cases by the training place too)
mentioning the area of work activities. Moreover, in cooperation with the partner institutions
Europas-Mobility document was arranged for each project participants.
GRANADA 2009: "DESTINATION MARKETING AS A MODERN STRATEGY
FOR THE STRONG REGIONS"
The project was dealing with the current topic of the partnership and cooperation of different
institutions that provide their services in order to create the final image of tourism destination
Granada. The project developed and enriched students´ vocational background and skills in
the area of destination marketing, interpersonal communication, tourism services and applied
informatics. The target groups were the students of the 2nd and 3rd forms in 2 study
branches - marketing in tourism and information and telecommunication technologies in
Andalusian metropolis - Granada.
The students spent 3-week internship placement and fulfilled different tasks in various
service companies such as education centre, travel agency, sale, hotel, sport centre that
provide services to Spanish and foreign clients, too.
During the stay the students got to know better with practical everyday marketing, deepened
their knowledge of destination marketing through the research about Granada´s
attractiveness among the residents and visitors, got acquinted with the history, culture, way
of life of the hosting country, worked and communicated in multicultural environment, used
ICT in tourism services, marketing research, creating databases and promotion materials,
improved their self-confidence, sense of responsibility and independence while organized
their own duties, finances and the spare time. 2 students of the 3rd form have collected an
interesting and useful materials and photos for developing their "maturity project" in the 4th
form.
All the skills acquired during the placement were confirmed by giving 2 certificates - working
and Spanish language ones by the receiving partner and training institutions as well.
We want to thank a lot to our Spanish partner institution Europroyectos Leonardo da Vinci
from Peligros, Granada for their professional approach, willingness to help us when we
needed it and for the friendship we felt in every step. Our project cooperation was perfect
and we hope - not the last one.

SEVILLA 2008: WELLNESS AND ANIMATION AS NEW TRENDS IN HOTEL
SERVICES
Project was aimed to 16 students of the 2nd and 3rd form of the Secondary Vocational
Training College in Levice who attend the study branch Marketing in tourism. It was
corresponding with the politics of European Comission of Tourism - strengthening of the
partnership in European tourism and improving its competitivness and providing better work
positions in the area of tourism in the future.
The placement took place in June and July 2008 in the centre of tourism and hotel industry in
Sevilla in Spanish Andalusia with duration of 3 weeks. Main objective of the stay was
integration of theoretical knowledge, practical skills and language competency within
European standards in 4 - star hotels. The participants got to know with the complex of hotel
services based on modern European trend - wellness and animation. Investigating marketing
management in the finest hotels in competitive environment and improving communication
skills in foreign languages thanks to homestay accommodation was the significant
contribution and experience for all students.
LONDON 2007: MARKETING OF SERVICES IN MULTICULTURAL
ENVIRONMENT
Project was aimed to 2 groups of students of the Secondary Vocational Training College in
Levice:
a) study branch Technician of ICT
b) study branch Marketing in tourism
Project main objective was investigating how the small and medium sized companies in
London and surrounding implement the tools of marketing mix in practice including the latest
ICT in services, work with Internet and web pages.
The placement took place in London during September and October 2007 and lasted 3
weeks.
