There is no need to sort your recycling, that is done at the facility. Bluebags can be purchased at all major retail stores. Yard Waste and Appliance Removal Please set yard waste and appliances on your curbside and then call the Town of Maggie Valley for removal. To harden put cat litter, oil dry, or sawdust in can with paint Tires: If off rim acceptable free of charge, if on rim, there is a $2.00 charge for passenger tires and a $10.00 charge for truck tires on a split rim Oil: Cooking oil can be recycled at any convenience center. Please pour it into a clean plastic container and give directly to attendant. Motor oil is accepted at any convenience center in designated area Others Items to consider Packing material: Often accepted if clean at your favorite shipping/packaging store. Please call store ahead to ensure acceptance Printer cartridges: Some computer companies offer a reward program to their customers. Please contact your company to check opportunity Magazines: Inquire with your nearest school if any magazines can be donated for children’s art projects Plants: The Master Gardener Program through Haywood County’s Extension Service host a plant swap during the growing season Plastic bags: Accepted by most grocery stores.
