Maintenance of Siemens GIS
8D 1st – 4th Generation
Siemens´ Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS) are
best-in-class related to ‘Mean Time Between
Failures’ (MTBF). The high product quality ensures a long service life as well as continous fault free
operation of the switchgear - and consequently – of the
whole system.

Nevertheless Siemens GIS needs maintenance. Siemens experts monitor the equipment, increase its wear and tear reserve or even improve its reliability. Siemens’ scheduled
maintenance concepts provide a system of overhauls and
condition assessments. They are predefined according to
manufactures recommdendation but can flexibly be adapted
to individual requirements. Siemens supports its customers to
choose an adequate and cost-effective solution. All services
are supervised or performed by certified Siemens experts.
