SIMATIC RF-DIAG – fast and simple
Siemens provides the software tool SIMATIC RF-DIAG for
simple commissioning and maintenance of the SIMATIC
RF620R and RF630R readers: the tool enables the optimum
alignment of the antennas to the read points in a very
short time and supports the user with error diagnostics
during operation.
Convenient commissioning and maintenance
The SIMATIC RF-DIAG software offers a range of functions
for simple setup and comprehensive analysis of a read
point:

well as reduced maintenance and installation costs due

intuitive user interface

Technical specifications
Flexible connection options
The scope of delivery includes a PC adapter for RF-DIAG
which permits connection of the SIMATIC RF620R and
RF630R readers to a PC. If the adapter is used in the communication cable between reader and communication
module, it does not influence the function of the read
point. As soon as a PC is connected to the adapter using a
USB cable, reader communication is diverted to the PC;
the reader power supply is still provided via the communication module. Power from an external power supply unit
is possible for pure PC operation without communication
module.
