Network Control Unit (NCU)

General
The NexLight Network Control Unit
(NCU) is a system level device used
to interface between various hosts and
the NexLight Lighting Control System.
The NCU connects to the Lighting
Control System through the NexLight
Local Interface Unit (LIU)
The NCU allows global capability for
controlling relays and dimmers in an
extensive lighting control system using
multiple WRT2050 Transmission Units.
The NCU will allow gateway
communication between the NexLight
Lighting Control System and any of the
following:

Building Management Systems
Monitor Control Software

Up to eight NCUs may be linked to
create a network that can control up
to 63,488 load or dimmer circuits
•
One RS-232 serial port for interfacing
to PC’s, intelligent controllers or
Building Managment Systems (BMS).
•
LED indicator communications status
from LIU to NCU and NCU to HOST.
•
LED indicator displays condition of
input and communication
•
Mounts in standard NexLight panels
secured by WR9910 straps
•
Communication speed to host can
be set via DIP switch.
