The company has developed one of the most advanced ‘Adaptive Learning’ technologies in the industry and in December 2014 was the recipient of a $2m grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to develop specific courseware alongside Arizona State University. We are looking for a lead-driven and highly commercial Marketing Director; to be successful in this position you will be expected to play an integral hands-on role in building our brand identity and marketing outreach within the global market. You will have a genuine desire to excel in exceeding lead generation targets and have a clear mandate to develop the brand of a leading learning technology company, owning the CogBooks marketing roadmap and responsible for execution against this to meet lead generation targets to deliver against our business plan. The Marketing Director is responsible for all CogBooks marketing activity, against a clear set of monthly targets, and within fixed budgets. Key tasks / responsibilities • Strategize, manage and execute all marketing and PR activity, content and lead generation activities 1 • Build relationships with customers and partners to create successful marketing campaigns generating leads and revenue opportunities • Where appropriate this may involve some work in collaboration with agency partners to deliver marketing strategies and campaigns from time to time. • However, the creation of this new role is an investment in building and developing our internal Marketing team and so will be focused towards hands on and proactive execution-focused delivery against targets set in the business plan • Input into product development cycle and bring new features to market Essential skills & experience • Senior level experience marketing a consumer proposition to an international audience • Several years of proven experience within the US higher education and learning technologies sector with demonstrated success in developing and executing resultsdriven marketing strategies and campaigns • A deep understanding and hands on experience of using social media, referrals and inbound marketing to drive leads and revenue generation activities • An analytical, methodical approach • Strong presentation skills, confident and persuasive communicator • Stakeholder and relationship management skills both internally and externally • Recruiting and managing other PR & marketing professionals whilst operating in a hands on and execution focused capacity • Working with external marketing and media agencies when appropriate • Buying media, online and offline • Managing budgets, internally and externally Are you up for this challenge?
