specifications ensures the most cost-effective and seamless upgrade path for future expansion.

devices or associated cellular data services outlined in this document.
IMPORTANT! If you choose to deviate from our recommendations ZOLL will attempt to complete installations,
train and troubleshoot your Road Safety issues. However, if it is determined or cannot be ruled out that your
choice of modem infrastructure or configuration thereof is causing problems with the ZOLL RescueNet Road Safety

Modem Specifications
The following are the minimum specifications for the Road Safety 4000 modem. ZOLL recommends a commercial
grade fixed mount modem to ensure optimal performance and reliability of your Road Safety 4000 system.
ZOLL has tested and confirmed Road Safety 4000 compatibility with the following modems:
 Sierra Wireless™ GX440
 Sierra Wireless™ MP597
 Cradlepoint IBR650E-VZ
NOTE: The Cradlepoint modem has not been tested or certified for use with any other RescueNet
product. It has only been tested with the RS-4000, the tested version of the Cradlepoint modem did not
contain GPS or WiFi capabilities and thus any modem that does possess these features has not been
tested and cannot be certified to work.
ZOLL does not test every commercial fixed mount modem available on the market, however, we expect that
modems that meet the following characteristics to work.
