It maintains all of the best Dyn-Loc IV features including accurate speed and torque control, simple operation, and dual lever-wheel setpoint entry. It also provides many modern features such as a full VGA active matrix color LCD display, touch screen user input, and software upgradability. NI LabVIEW™ and several other programming interfaces are supported. The eddy-current dynamometer field coil power amplifier unit (PAU) exists in a separate chassis mount enclosure or wall-mountable panel. It is sized for each dynamometer and is typically located near the dynamometer to simplify installation as well as to isolate electrical interference.
