OptiLift™ RPC Rod Pump Controller Features and Benefits Rockwell Automation® provides a comprehensive range of solutions for the oil and gas industry that can be integrated seamlessly into your existing system. The OptiLift RPC features an advance design, engineered to help maximize your company’s return on investment, meet the need for sustainable operations, and help achieve operational excellence. This rod pump controller from Rockwell Automation® also features: • NEW! PanelView™ display provides configurable HMI and detailed alarm summary • NEW! Support for RotaFlex pumping units • NEW! Support for Hall Effect position sensing • User programmability, via ISaGRAF 6 Workbench that supports standard IEC-6-1131 programming languages • Built-in web server for configuration and diagnostics that can be maintained remotely; online firmware updates available • Interface to well management software such as XSPOC, Rockwell Automation® visualization software and other third-party SCADAs • Expandable and customizable through I/O addition and by any Modbus-capable I/O device (via Ethernet or serial) Maximize your investment, improve productivity The Rockwell Automation® OptiLift RPC (rod pump controller) features an advanced design with an on-site controller that can help provide accurate and flexible control necessary for well production optimization. It is easy to install, easy to configure, features excellent reliablilty, and is easy to use. OptiLift RPC is optimized for use with beam pumps that monitor parameters at the surface of the well. Display of surface and downhole dynamometer cards allow the operator to visualize what is occurring with the process. Six modes of selectable control provide flexibility for the operator to choose the operating mode suited for the conditions presented. Configuration for distinct characteristics is also available, including well production, well bore and equipment, pumping unit and motor data. The OptiLift RPC features extra I/O that can be programmed and monitored for custom applications: • 6 AI: (mA or Voltage) • 3 DI: (24VDC) • 1 DI (high frequency) for time monitoring • 1 AO: (mA or Voltage) • 4 DO: (24VDC The rod pump controller allows operators to collect, aggregate, and analyze data locally and remotely, and supports local data logging. Remote data collected via embedded 900 MHz or 2.4 GHz wireless. Integrated Power In addition to interfacing with your existing power package, the Rockwell Automation® Rod Pump Controller may be packaged with an Allen-Bradley® fixed speed motor starter or Allen-Bradley® VFD. A variety of options are available when integrated with an Allen-Bradley® drive, such as: When the OptiLift RPC is delivered with an Allen-Bradley® VFD, you receive sophisticated control technology with a powerful drive. PowerFlex® 753 and 755 AC drives provide users with built-in features to create an integrated solution that is ideal for speed control in rod pump applications. These drives can effectively apply power to the system to smoothly start up, maintain commanded speed, and stop operation, all while monitoring for key elements to help improve safe motor operation. • Energy-efficient Active Front End (IEEE519) • Drive sizes ranging from 25 to 125 hp • Traditional dynamic braking In addition, the Rockwell Automation® Rod Pump Controller provides the ability to interface to, and configure 48 common drive parameters through the local LCD display.
