SUCCESS STORY International Operator Recovers Extra 21,000 Barrels of Oil World-Class HSE and Service Quality 8 In many cases, mature fields require a higher than normal emphasis on Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) considerations due to increasing hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide concentration levels during water flood operations. An operator in Ecuador was working in a heavy oil field that often produces more than 90% water during the first few weeks.
