GLI is partnering with the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian
Games to facilitate tickets sales, hospitality and trade show
opportunities in the Greater Louisville region. For the first
time in history the World Equestrian Games will be held in the
United States and be in our region at the Kentucky Horse Park
in Lexington. You can take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime

WHAT ARE THE WORLD EQUESTRIAN GAMES?
Once every four years, the World Equestrian Games features the most talented
equestrian athletes in the world in eight equestrian disciplines recognized by the
Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI): Dressage, Driving, Endurance, Eventing,
Jumping, Para Dressage, Reining, and Vaulting.
The 16-day competition with 600 riding competitors and 700 horses from more than 60
countries will be attended by 600,000 spectators and viewed on television worldwide

The 2010 Games are expected to have a statewide economic impact of $150 million,
and a few of the current sponsors include Alltech, Rolex, John Deere, Ariat International
Inc., Maker’s Mark and UK Healthcare. Dr. Pearse Lyons, President and founder of
Alltech, stated it best: “The Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games… were not awarded
to Chicago, New York, or Los Angeles in their American debut, but to our Kentucky
Horse Park. Our hope is that Kentuckians will grasp the magnitude of this incredible
event and realize the great opportunity the Commonwealth has been given.”
